Gallery Intern - SC Gallery

SC Gallery is a young contemporary art gallery founded in 2022. We are now hiring gallery intern to join the team!

Responsibilities:

- Assist daily operations of the gallery, including general office administration.

- Conduct artist and artwork introduction in a professional manner.

- Support the team in organizing upcoming exhibitions and art fair preparation (longer hours may be required on installation and event days).

- Preparing marketing and press material for upcoming exhibitions.

 

Requirements

- Candidate with work experience in related filed is preferred;

- Degree or relevant qualifications in Art/Art History/ Art Management/Journalism or related field, also open to other qualifications as appropriate;

- Good command of spoken and written Cantonese, English & Mandarin;

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, knowledge in Photoshops/AI is an advantage;

Working Hours

Tuesday to Saturday 11:00 a.m - 7:00 p.m.

WKM Gallery | Gallery Intern

Founded by William Kayne Mukai in 2023, WKM Gallery is a vibrant and innovative art space in Hong Kong. With a unique background combining French and Japanese heritage, William is committed to fostering cultural connections and promoting artists globally. The gallery serves as a platform for both emerging and established artists, encouraging creativity and cultural exchange. Initially focusing on connecting Japan and Hong Kong, William now aims to weave art from around the world into the dynamic Hong Kong art scene.

We are currently seeking a proactive, organised, and enthusiastic intern to join our team with the opportunity to explore and gain in-depth knowledge of gallery operation.

As part of the team, the candidate shall be responsible for:

  • Assist with daily operations and general administration tasks
  • Provide support for organising exhibitions and art fairs
  • Conduct research and assist in cataloguing and translation of writing materials
  • Maintain gallery website and develop captivating and visually compelling digital content and utilise data-driven insights to optimise the performance of digital content for various social media platforms
  • Assist with shipping, logistics and art handling as needed
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required

You are required:

  • University students or fresh graduates with a passion in contemporary art
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge in design software, such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and SketchUp is an advantage
  • Responsible, organised, self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; another language is a plus
  • Holder of the Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card or possess a valid visa permitting internship in Hong Kong
  • Must be available from 22 - 26 October 2024 and may need to work additional hours for gallery openings and events

Located in the Southside of Hong Kong.
The working hours is from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm with an hour lunch break.
Immediate availability is preferable.
This is an unpaid internship with a daily allowance provided.
We accept applications year-round with a minimum commitment of 2-3 days per week.

Gallery Internship - Sin Sin Fine Art

Sin Sin Fine Art presents a wide range of projects to increase awareness of the brand and bring art into the community. We are currently looking for a Gallery Intern who would like to gain hands-on experience in managing art exhibitions, events, publicities, archival records, and gallery operations in a fast-paced environment. This internship is a great opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in the art and creative industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and website
  • Graphic design / photography / video editing skills for marketing collateral
  • Assist with planning and organizing exhibitions and various art/cultural events
  • Assist with updating artwork inventory and client database
  • Assist with day-to-day operations including general office administration
  • Maintain close relations with clientele

Requirements:

  • Diligent, competent and creative-minded
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience in graphic design will be an advantage
  • Adaptable, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • The duration of the internship is expected to be 3-6 months
  • Immediate availability preferred
